Which is your favorite sitcom?
Some of you will like Two and half men,Big bang Theory,Friends and the list goes on.
My personal favorite is the 60′s era fantasy sitcom I Dream of Jeannie which stars Barbara Eden as a 2,000-year-old genie, and Larry Hagman as an astronaut who later becomes her master, with whom she falls in love and gradually marries.
Produced by Screen Gems, the show originally aired from September 1965 to May 1970 with new episodes, and through September 1970 with season repeats, on NBC. The first season consisted of 30 episodes filmed in black and white.
One of the highlights of I Dream of Jeannie was its
fantasy premise and excellent comic timing by Larry Hagman(as Major Anthony Nelson) and Barbara Eden(Jeannie). Its cast included Bill Daily as Major Roger Healey and Hayden Rorke as Colonel Dr. Alfred Bellows.
Larry Hagman played a role of an astronaut who constantly lands into trouble due to the magic antics of Jeannie.Bill Daily played Maj.Roger Healey who also suffers alongside Anthony Nelson because of Jeannie.Barbara Eden who played Jeannie was also hilarious to watch and for her sense of humour.Hayden Rorke played a confused physician who alwayswho ends up looking like a fool thanks to the pranks played on him by Jeannie. It was indeed one of the funniest and hilarious sitcom of its times and has a repeat value. It is worth a watch even today.
